About Us

Our Mission

Heywood Inclusion Ltd is a UK-based company that aspires to create positive social change for disabled people and B2B/B2C businesses. We aim to achieve this by helping small and medium enterprises establish or improve their services with accessibility in mind. Approximately 1 billion people globally, including 24% (16 million) of the UK population, have a disability. Which is why creating inclusive experiences is important, otherwise, it potentially excludes up to 24% of customers. As our name suggests, inclusion is our driving motivation, to continuously adapt and innovate, to meet both business and customer needs.

We work with clients of all sizes. Whether you are a recent start-up business or a long-term established enterprise, we are here to help! Corporate Social Responsibility

As both individuals and as a business, we recognise the importance of responsibility and accountability, and endeavour to contribute where possible to our environment, society, and communities.

Social and Community

Our work aims to challenge and reduce barriers created through societal inequality, including but not limited to: race, disability, sexuality, gender identity, or culture. We do not hesitate to educate ourselves through research and/or discussion when a topic or issue arises that we have limited understanding of.

We invest in encouraging clients to view disability in a social context, rather than medical. To pragmatically resolve or mitigate barriers, by challenging potential unconscious bias from social norms. The Social Model of Disability encourages people to consider external barriers, such as environmental factors and other people’s actions or decisions. The Medical model focuses on internalised barriers, such as an individual’s disability, which is used in everyday language to describe disability and cultivates exclusion and unconscious bias. We challenge this viewpoint to develop a more inclusive society and community.

Speaking of community, we work extensively with Staffordshire-based businesses and educational institutions. To help Staffordshire continue to flourish and create more opportunities for residents, businesses, and students. Such as contributing to the Innovation and Productivity Pathfinder Programme at Staffordshire University, which has supported 50+ Staffordshire-based students and businesses.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Our employees operate remotely where possible, to conserve emissions from commuting by vehicle and/or public transport, and keep our carbon footprint small. To reduce waste, we use renewable energy to power our digital resources, and use recyclable resources, unless our clients/employees require specific formats. We recognise the importance of ongoing commitment to sustainability and protecting our planet, so we are taking further considerations to expand our goals further.
